We love a good before and after and this patio remodel in Southlake is no exception. This customer called us in to extend their existing patio that was primarily decomposed granite. They wanted to remove their holly tree to allow for more usable space as well as lay down pavers. Although decomposed granite can be a great alternative is some spaces, it’s rock base makes it uncomfortable to walk on.
Our crew worked diligently to get the installation job done for them, these “before” pictures show the space in more detail.
These “after” pictures speak for themselves. They now have a cleaner look, a much larger foot print for usage, and a space they can enjoy for years to come that actually gives their home a higher property value. They chose a Belgard paver, Catalina Grana, in “Leuter’s Gray.”
Once the furniture went back into place you get an even better idea of just how much more space they have. Removing the Holly tree allowed them to get a lounging area with fire pit and rearrange the dining table.
The a-joining wall space also features oversized planters and a fountain from our nursery. We visiting the client’s home in April and planted this summer display of flowers, and with a sprinkler system in place that waters the planters daily, they have thrived all summer long. Featured in the planters are foxtail ferns, million bells, zinnia, ivy, sweet alyssum and dipladenia.
These purple “million bells” are a wonderful full sun flower that really shine all summer long.
Another summer stunner from our nursery are black eyed susan. These yellow members of the sunflower family shine wherever they are planted.
