Ed Ruibal: President
In 1985, Ed Ruibal relocated to Dallas and established his business at the downtown Dallas Farmers Market. What began as a small rental space has since grown into a thriving 7-acre garden center. In 2008, Ed decided to move his business from downtown Dallas to Keller, Texas, where it has continued to flourish. Since its relocation, Landscape Systems has become one of the premier destinations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for plants, unique gifts, and landscape design services.
Ed, along with his wife Deana, takes pride in the success of the business while also being deeply involved in their church and local community. Together, they enjoy the company of their 11 grandchildren.
Brian Ruibal: CEO
Brian Ruibal began working part-time at Landscape Systems during high school, where he developed a strong passion for landscape design and helping customers create their ideal outdoor spaces. With over 20 years of experience, Brian has designed numerous award-winning landscapes and is dedicated to offering personalized solutions to meet the unique needs of each client. He takes pride in guiding customers through the garden center, providing a variety of options, and ensuring they find the best fit for their yards.
In addition to his design expertise, Brian oversees on-site construction for all of his projects and prepares detailed cost estimates tailored to each client's budget. Outside of work, Brian is a father to 10 children and 4 dogs. He is deeply involved in his church and is a founder of Rooted Well, a ministry dedicated to supporting and fostering displaced children in the local community.
Landen Ruibal: VP of Operations
Landen Ruibal has been immersed in the landscape industry from a young age, learning the trade from his father, Brian, and his grandfather, Ed. As Vice President of Operations, Landen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nursery, including selecting the best plants in the metroplex and ensuring the yard is meticulously organized. He plays a key role in delivering a superior experience to every customer who visits Landscape Systems.
In addition to his operational responsibilities, Landen is also experienced in landscape design and offers consultations for residential projects. Whether you're planning a new garden or redesigning your outdoor space, Landen is the professional to guide you through your next project.
Tom Miller: Architect
Tom Miller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. With over 40 years of experience in the field, Tom specializes in designing outdoor spaces that seamlessly integrate plants, stone, wood, and water. His designs focus on reducing maintenance and water usage while incorporating evergreen, indigenous, and flowering plant materials.
In his work, Tom creatively integrates topographic and drainage elements, and he strives to incorporate historic landscape design features into contemporary garden concepts. He oversees on-site construction for all of his projects and ensures that his designs are tailored to meet both aesthetic goals and budget considerations.
Ariel Ruibal: Landscape and Sales Manager
With over 9 years of experience at Landscape Systems, Ariel Ruibal serves as the Landscape and Sales Manager, overseeing exterior landscape projects and irrigation systems. As the daughter of Brian and granddaughter of Ed, Ariel has fulfilled her dream of working alongside her family at the nursery.
In addition to her landscape responsibilities, she manages the team in the home décor and gift shop department. Ariel is also a proud mother to her daughter, Hazel, who is the cutest baby in Keller. For custom home projects and personalized service, Ariel is the expert you want to speak with.
Hailey Ruibal: Administrative Assistant
Hailey Ruibal joined the team a couple of years ago and has since taken on the role of Administrative Assistant. In this capacity, she works closely with Ariel to assist with consultations, billing, and crew management, ensuring smooth operations across the board.

With a background in sales, Hailey is well-equipped to assist with a wide range of needs at Landscape Systems. Her strong organizational skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer service ensure that every client receives the highest level of satisfaction.
Dylan Pepper: Lead Furniture Maker
Dylan is the craftsman behind every piece of live edge furniture we create. His expertise in woodworking, epoxy, resin, stain and varnish is unmatched; as is his dedication to constantly learning more and more about his craft, and it shows in all he creates.
Tanner Heemsbergen: Yard Manager
Tanner is the hands-on yard manager, who oversees all outdoor operations. From managing inventory and equipment to supervising maintenance crews, he ensures that our yard runs smoothly and efficiently.
He specializes in machinery operations and works closely with Landen on organizational systems and team management. He has a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.

Nathan Rixe: Sales Associate
Nathan has been with Landscape Systems since 2018 and specializes in trees and shrubs. As a landscape designer, he offers expert consultations and is available to visit your home to assist with your landscaping needs. Nathan also handles the majority of plant purchasing for the nursery, ensuring that our selection remains top-quality.

Louis Thomas (Bubba): Nursery Lead
Louis, affectionately known as "Bubba," has been with Landscape Systems for years and now serves as our Nursery Lead. With a strong background in customer service, Bubba specializes in custom pots, landscape advice, and ensuring the nursery runs smoothly.
His expertise and friendly demeanor make him a go-to resource for helping you beautify your landscape. Always greeting customers with a smile, Bubba is dedicated to providing outstanding service while helping you find exactly what you need for your outdoor space.
Sydney Marek: Gift Shop Manager
Sydney is our Gift Shop Manager, bringing 4 years of prior experience in hardware and feed supply, along with over 6 years in customer service. She specializes in grass, weed, insect, or disease control. Her expertise extends to helping customers select the perfect home décor and gifts for their outdoor spaces.

Ty, Theo, Travis, and Draco: Mascots
Continuing a cherished tradition that began 11 years ago with our beloved English Lab, Kobe, who passed away in early 2020, Landscape Systems now has three English Labs and a new addition—a Great Pyrenees-Husky mix.
Theo, Ty, Travis, and Draco are cousins, and they’re here every day, greeting customers, playing, and occasionally taking a nap. These lovable pups are an integral part of our team and bring joy to everyone who visits.
